Six Nantucket deeds recorded in July show heavy lender and municipal involvement
Six property transfers were recorded at the Nantucket County Registry of Deeds between July 10 and August 8, but only two disclosed a sale price, ranging from $250,000 to $750,000 with a median of $500,000. The month's most notable recorded transaction was a $750,000 sale on July 14, transferring from the Samuel J. Aloisi Revocable Trust to Rockland Trust Co. Four of the six deeds involved a bank or mortgage entity as buyer or seller, and one sale, at 5 Nonantum Avenue, listed the Town of Nantucket as buyer. With price data missing from most transactions, the dataset offers a limited read on market tone this period.
