Nantucket deed filings show one disclosed $2.8 million sale amid otherwise quiet paperwork
Nantucket recorded seven deeds between Aug. 7 and Sept. 5, but only one listed a sale price: $2,800,000 for a leasehold interest at 2 Paupamo Way Lease Area 196B, sold by Nashaquisset Cooperative Inc to Tucked Away ACK LLC. Three separate deeds tied to 2 Paupamo Way, recorded the same day, show the property moving through a nominee trust, the cooperative, and finally to the Town of Nantucket. Two other sales, on Easy Street and Fairgrounds Road, involved banks as sellers. One Lily Street deed reflected an intra-family trust transfer. With six of seven prices undisclosed, the period's market tone cannot be assessed from price data alone.
