Cultural Council votes 5-0 to adjourn after brief January session

Nantucket Cultural Council meeting Monday covers grant compliance, ends in minutes. Five of seven members attended the remote Zoom session, including Co-Chair Tony Wagner, Secretary Barbara Tibbitts and Treasurer Bethany Oliver; Co-Chair Sarah Ellis and member Bianca Brown were absent. Support staffer Dina Weatherly explained that grant recipients must return signed contracts with documentation before funds are dispersed, then submit proof of use afterward, saying organizations sometimes "invite myself, me or Shanta to come to the event so we can see that it happened." No new grants or dollar figures came up.
Members voted 5-0 by roll call to adjourn, with another grant cycle update expected at the February 9 meeting.
